Topshelf began as SLN Technologies, helping people make sense of everyday technology.
As client needs changed, the company expanded into full-service IT, cybersecurity, managed web, and digital marketing for businesses. The scope became broader, but the operating style stayed direct: understand the environment, explain the tradeoffs, take responsibility, and keep improving the system.
Under founder Chris Merchant, that practical service mindset became a broader technology operating model, one team capable of handling the everyday issue while understanding the whole system around it.
